Writerly Update (And the Holidays)

Hello everyone, and Happy Holidays!

Whether you're celebrating Christmas, Hanukah, or any of the other vast number of holidays that exist at this time of year, you've probably been as busy as I am, if not more so. With the holidays comes chaos; getting those last minute presents or cards wrapped or sent out, getting ready to either visit family or receive them, preparing the holiday feasts, and so on.

Having just finished Chapter Twelve of "Fall of the Spectrum" a couple of days ago, I've opted to do myself a favour, and not dive into the next chapter until the holiday madness settles--and given the amount of work I needed to do in preparation for family coming tomorrow, I'd say the timing was good.

On the subject of FotS--I have made some slight developmental changes to the plotline. To be exact, it's not so much the plot that's changed, as a previously unknown element has been added in, which requires me to adjust a few things in order to accommodate said element.

I also came across something of a continuity error between Whispers of Nowhere and Fall of the Spectrum. I'll try to break it down so this doesn't get ridiculously long. When I first outlined WoN, I had a lot more content planned out for it than I wound up using--stuff that I intended to use (if I haven't in the current chapters already) in FotS. Well, to make a long story short, I mistakenly believed that I had made a mention of one particular piece of content in WoN, and as such, when I presented it in FotS, it was with the context that the reader would already know about it...which, of course, the reader couldn't know, given that it wasn't there to begin with.

Luckily, it's nothing that should be overly difficult to fix, and the fact that I caught it early on certainly mitigates any frustration I would have dealt with, otherwise.

In any case, that's enough rambling from me. I'll be sure to keep you in the loop.
